Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Photo Panels Exhibition
Tribhuvan University, Memorial Hall, Kirtipur, Kathmandu

Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Photo Panels Exhibition will be held from 18 to 21 May 2011 at the Memorial Hall of the Tribhuvan University. The exhibition will be officially inaugurated by Mr. Tomihisa Taue, Mayor of the Nagasaki City and Dr. Surya Lal Amatya, Acting Vice-Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University at 10:00-11:00 am on Wednesday 18 May at the Memorial Hall of the Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur.
The exhibition will be held from 18 to 21 May (four days) at the Memorial Hall of the University. The opening time is from 11:00 to 16:00. It is open to the public.
Nagasaki Municipal Government holds A-bomb Photo Panels Exhibition both inside and outside Japan in order to convey the realities of the atomic bombing, and hopes people around the world to share precious of peace.
Taking advantage of the visit by Mr. Tomihisa Taue, Mayor of the Nagasaki City as well as the presence of Dr. Tadatoshi Akiba, former Mayor of the Hiroshima City, who will visit Nepal and will be awarded the Gautam Budhha International Peace Award by the Government of Nepal in Lumbini on 17 May, the City of Nagasaki will hold this exhibition with cordial cooperation with the Tribhuvan University and the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Asia and the Pacific (UNRCPD).
The organizers sincerely wish that this exhibition help deepen the understanding on the devastating effects of nuclear weapons and further enhance international efforts toward a nuclear-weapon-free world.
